Exeter serviced offices invest in better Internet access
Two of Exeter’s serviced and managed office providers have invested in its Internet services to meet its customers’ demand for faster upload and download speeds.
Both Matford Business Centre and Sowton Business & Technology Centre will be improving its Internet services to enable their clients to enjoy an enhanced higher-speed service that is superior to standard contended broadband.
Whereas many serviced and managed offices offer broadband-based Internet access as part of their rental agreement, it is often shared by the whole building which means connectivity can slow down when large files are being downloaded by just one of the tenants.
Melanie Harris, director of both the Matford and Sowton-based serviced offices in Exeter, said: “We will be offering individual links to the Internet on a client by client basis, so another tenants’ Internet use will not affect its neighbour’s. Our customers want to enjoy faster Internet access to carry out their crucial day to day tasks and we are willing to invest in this technology to meet, and hopefully exceed, their needs.”
So from this month, Matford Business Centre and Sowton Business & Technology Centre clients will be able to enjoy individual dedicated leased line Internet access packages that will allow them to download and upload large files much more easily, as part of their bundled communications packages that also include a phone line. Previous speeds ranged from 512Kb to 2MB and these have now increased to between 1MB to 3MB dependent on the clients’ individual needs.
Both business centres offer flexible, high specification work space from fully furnished single offices with full administrative support to office suites and boardrooms.
Partnership offers more space to serviced office tenants in Exeter
A new partnership with Space Maker has provided cost-effective storage facilities for serviced office tenants in Exeter.
Both Sowton Business & Technology Centre and Matford Business Centre have made an agreement with the national self-storage provider that will give preferential rates to their tenants.
Space Maker is also offering tenants its price guarantee by offering to beat any comparable self storage quote, obtained within a five mile radius of its store, by 10% for the first eight weeks of storage and then match it thereafter.

Exeter serviced offices offer cost-saving telecommunications package
Two of Exeter’s serviced office business centres have launched a cost-effective telecommunications package to help its tenants survive the ongoing effects of the recession.
Sowton Business & Technology Centre in Capital Court, Sowton, and Matford Business Centre on the Marsh Barton Industrial Estate will be offering their new bundle to all tenants that sign a 12-month contract for a minimum two-desk office with occupancy before January 16, 2012.
Rental prices will now include a telephone line, a desk phone with voicemail facility, 500 free minutes from desk phones to 01 and 02 numbers, free calls back to their business centre plus 500 free mobile minutes and 50 texts from a Vodafone enabled SIM card (handset not included), and a broadband connection with a fully maintained firewall.
Both business centres offer hi-tech facilities for businesses that do not want the expensive overheads of owning their own building, but still require a professional environment where they can work efficiently and can effectively entertain their clients.
